When you purchase a funeral plan from Golden Charter, the money you have paid will be held in The Golden Charter Trust (“the Trust”) until it is required to pay your selected funeral director who has guaranteed to carry out the services of your funeral plan.

The Golden Charter Trust is a separate legal entity from Golden Charter Limited, with its own Board of independent Trustees.
The pre-paid funeral plan sector is regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (the FCA) from 29 July 2022. Golden Charter Limited, as the plan provider, is authorised and regulated by the FCA. The Trust is not directly regulated by the FCA but is required to comply with the FCA rules relating to trusts.
